Latches

Ryleund produces variations of the Suffolk latch, offered as Broad Bean, Standard (Cottage), Heart Style, Clover or Teardrop latches. All hand crafted using traditional techniques, the latches are completely functional yet retain the original style of the 17th century. Broad Bean latches are offered in stainless steel with two different sizes and two different finishes.

Ideal for recreating a period look to furniture and internal doors. A simple 'D' handle formed using established blacksmith's methods, and easy to fit vertically or horizontally.

Door Furniture

Door Stay - A truly simple, but effective means of ensuring that barn, stable, garage or any other door stays open when you want it to. Easy to fit, the door stay retains the period character of days gone by.

Cupboard Latch - A simple but effective means of securing cupboard doors where a period look or country style is needed to just finish off that piece of furniture.

Door Bolts - A medium duty forged door bolt whose design has withstood the test of time. Has that period look but is completely functional and difficult to rival.

Window Furniture

Window Stay - An ideal accompaniment for the window catches to complete the transformation of your windows. Two types of stay are available for either a rustic or more traditional look.

Window Catches - Functional in design, give your windows period character. Supplied with mortise plate.

Hinges

Yorkshire Penny Pattern - Simple 'T' style hinges with period character suitable for any door application. Supplied in pairs.

Pintle Hinges - A heavier duty hinge, simple in design, supplied with the knock-in pintle. Suitable for interior and exterior (with correct finishing) doors in most applications, such as barns, stables, sheds, other outbuildings, scullery etc. Supplied in pairs.

H. Hinges - Ornate hinges, adaptable for most uses particularly cupboards, boxes, smaller doors, shutters and cabinets where there is less available fixing space than on larger doors. Supplied in pairs.

HL Hinges - A variation of the H Hinge used for similar applications but more appropriate for supporting heavier doors or where there is more material to fasten the hinge, particularly where restoration work has been carried out. Supplied in pairs.

Butterfly Hinges - In carpentry, used on furniture and smaller doors for cabinets, cupboards, desks, trunks where a more compact, decorative hinge is required. Supplied in pairs.


Half Butterfly Hinges - Used in applications similar to Butterfly Hinges, but where fixing space on one side of the hinge is limited. Supplied in pairs
